DNS Stuff Alternative

Bye bye DNS Stuff… Thanks for the good times. The site has moved on from its former business model and gone commercial. Recently it started limiting the number of queries non-registered (and non-paying) users are allowed to perform.

While it’s a shame to see the site take this route, I wish them a prosperous future—they deserve it. It now leaves room for other sites to fill the spot. A couple of good contenders:

Of course I could just join DNS Stuff and become a registered member. But that would require login before using their tools. And that does not fit into my workflow: Opera’s customizable address bar shortcuts enable me to retrieve whois/DNS data for any domain/IP near instantly. Login would slow that process down.

    Hi all, I have been browsing through google and looking at DSNStuff alternatives & other useful query tools.

    http://www.w3dt.net is a website that i have come to love, it has lots of Administrator Tools on it, and is located in Australia… Generally speaking it is quite fast (Mind you i am in Australia also).

    I found a lot of hobbyist sites, showing the functionality of nslookup and dig, but not much more.
    For me, the only ones to come close to dnsstuff are http://clez.net/ and http://robtex.org/, some features at http://serversniff.net complete the missing “hosts on IP” lookup.

    Hi everybody, I’ve found good DNS tools (as for me). You can check it via http://mega-check.com/, moreover it is free, and I need to say that the tools from mentioned web-site are really fast and provide with the correct results.
    So why we should pay to dnsstuff.com or some other similar projects, if we can use such powerfull scripts for FREE.
    Please try them and give you mark, coz I think that this web-site(and those scripts) are awesome.
    P.S. with help of those tools I found the hole in my name server 🙂
